Chocolate Fudge: My Go-To When I Need Something Yum

  • Metabolic Alignment

Sometimes you just need something yum.
You know those days, when the kids are running wild, dinner feels miles away, or your hormones are whispering “chocolate, please” louder than anything else? That’s when I reach for this simple, nourishing chocolate fudge recipe.

It’s become a staple in my kitchen, not just because it’s quick to whip up, but because it ticks so many boxes: real food, healthy fats, and that perfect touch of sweetness. Plus, it lives in the fridge, ready to go when I need it most.

Even the kids ask for “Mum’s chocolate.” And honestly, that feels like a win, because I know they’re getting something way better than store-bought treats.

Why I Love This Recipe

  • Quick and simple: No oven, no fuss.

  • Balanced: Healthy fats + a little sweetness = satisfaction without the sugar crash.

  • Adaptable: I can add salt for a caramel vibe, or nuts for crunch.

  • Kid-friendly: My two will happily sneak a piece (or three) when I’m not looking.

This is what I call a “non cheat treat" something that feels indulgent but actually supports your body. Instead of grabbing a packet of biscuits or a sugar-loaded snack, I’ve got this on hand to keep me steady.

The Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 115g nut butter

  • 90g coconut oil, melted

  • 50g cacao or Dutch cocoa powder

  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup

Directions:

  1. Melt the coconut oil.

  2. Mix all ingredients together until smooth.

  3. Pour into a mould or lined container.

  4. Refrigerate until set.

  5. Store in the fridge (if it lasts that long!).

✨ Optional: Sprinkle salt in your mould before pouring, or stir through nuts for crunch.

How It Fits Into My Nutrition Philosophy

Food doesn’t have to be complicated or “perfect.” I love teaching women how to make small swaps that align with their bodies and cycles. For example:

  • In the estrogen phase (Days 1–10), keeping glucose and insulin low is key. Having fudge like this, full of fat and just a touch of natural sweetness helps keep energy steady.

  • During the progesterone phase (Days 20–28), when cravings often hit, this is the kind of treat that satisfies without undoing progress.

It’s not about restriction. It’s about having tools like this up your sleeve so you can enjoy food and still feel aligned.

If you love recipes like this, you’ll love the way I help women sync their food, fasting, and movement with their hormones. This chocolate fudge is just one of the many little tricks I share in my Aligned & Activated course to make healthy living realistic (and delicious).
